The Portuguese and Spanish Jewish quarter’s grid or the Routes of Sepharad aims to a joint action in the defense of urban, architectural, environmental, historical and cultural patrimony related to the Jewish heritage.

The contribution of the Iberian Jews to the history of the world was enormous; from the nautical science that for more than 500 years gave the country a decisive advance towards the beginning of globalization, to the evolution of the world’s economy and of medicine. Many were the sectors in which the role of the Sephardics became preponderant.

Come and visit historical centers, buildings, museums, streets and villages lost in time where the history and traditions of a people are kept alive, passing through places full of Jewish history such as Porto, Serra da Estrela and Trás dos Montes, Serra de França, Madrid, Granada, Seville, Alto Alentejo and Lisbon.
